A while ago a Grade Two homeroom teacher, came to me with this incredible idea for starting off the year with a provocation for his class and wondered if I might help him devise a way of integrating it into the block programming lessons which are introduced later in the year.
We “back and forthed” with some input form others on the tech team until we agreed on this, a block programming style algorithm that both articulates how a script can be used to attack a problem and support children in developing this lifelong skill working collaboratively to find solutions to everyday issues that arise from social to design to, well… anything at all! |
